ESMAE Big Band, composed by students from the Jazz degree, has performed over the past 10 years repertoires from the most important jazz composers, such as Thad Jones, Sammy Nestico, Carla Bley, Maria Schneider or Kenny Wheeler, under the direction of Jason Lindner, Alan Farber, Orrin Evans, Pedro Guedes, Carlos Azevedo, Laurent Filipe, Maria Schneider, Paulo Perfeito and Telmo Marques.
